The Green-Sutton Crowley House, c. 1907
93 Holland Street

John Born built this charming cottage-style house, with its steeply pitched roof, in 1907. Like almost all the properties in this area, it was originally part of the Archibald Howell Estate. During the Civil War, Union soldiers camped on the property. In 1925, the house was purchased by Bill and Ina Carnes Green. Mrs. Green lived in the home for 59 years.
The house was sub-divided during the Great Depression to accommodate two families. The current owner, Mikel Sutton Crowley, purchased the home in 2003. She lives here with her daughters Caitlin & Elizabeth. Special features of the house include 4 original fireplaces, 10-foot ceilings and the original floors, woodwork and moldings.
